IT raid on realtor's premises - Times of India

Each flat size in the|I-T raid SURAT: Income tax (I-T) department raided the office and residence of a prominent realtor, who is son of a senior BJP minister, here on Thursday evening and detected unaccounted income of Rs nine crore. Official sources said the realtor is coming up with a very high end residential project on Vesu-Bharthana road. Each flat size in the project is about 10,000 square feet and there is an indoor swimming pool and other state-of-the-art facilities. During the raids, the I-T sleuths have seized property documents, cash and other documents related to the assets owned by the group. Sources said the investigation wing of the department has drawn up a strategy for carrying out a similar search and seizure operation against 30 prominent Realtors in the city soon.
